Our History
Rachel has been married to Gordon for 25 years, and they have 2 children : their daughter Nicola who is married to Tim Douglass, who together pastor a branch of the Hillsong Church in Sydney Australia, and their son David, who is at Loughborough University studying Maths and Management. Rachel, is a daughter of missionaries, and lived in India as a child.
Once married, Gordon and Rachel travelled the world, working with Reinhard Bonnke in Africa and the Far East. They returned to England in 1990 and were the Senior Pastors of a group of 4 churches in the Watford area for 8 years. During this time God began to open doors into Europe and the Nations and they travelled with their ministry called 'HEARTCRY'. Since then, Rachel and her team have travelled widely throughout the UK, speaking at church seminars or services, Bible schools, Evangelistic events, school and university Christian Unions as well as at national conferences. She travels internationally visiting Europe, North America, Africa and India. Invitations come from various denominational backgrounds, and a variety of conferences for Leaders, Women or Youth. Rachel nearly died in a road accident at 24 years old but lived and experienced God's healing power in Zimbabwe. Rachel ministers with a passion for Jesus and a desire to see each one of us reach our full potential.
Rachel and Gordon moved to live in Oxford in May 2005, where Gordon is now the Associate Minister of St Aldates. St Aldates is an Anglican church ( www.staldates.org.uk) right in the heart of Oxford, the student city of C S Lewis, John and Charles Wesley and other great men of God !
Gordon and Rachel have a passion to see cities transformed through the power of prayer and evangelism. One of their projects links churches and prayer ministries across London, which has developed a city strategy called the London Prayernet. (See www.londonprayer.net )
